林冈，男，福建福州人，1953年10月生，上海交通大学特聘教授、二级教授，bet365亚洲娱乐城博士生导师兼学术委员会主任，台湾研究中心（国台办两岸关系上海交通大学研究基地）主任,校学术委员会委员，享受国务院特殊津贴。兼任上海市台湾研究会副会长，两岸关系和平发展协同创新中心专家委员会委员，中共上海市委台湾工作办公室咨询专家委员会委员，上海市政治学会常务理事,《当代中国研究》、《中国政治学刊》(英文)、《台海研究》、《上海交通大学学报》（哲学社会科学版）编委，台湾政治大学政治学系客座教授（2010年春）,台湾中山大学社会科学院客座教授（2011年冬）。2005年由上海交通大学面向全球招聘,从美国引进为学科带头人,获得上海市浦江人才计划资助。回国服务前担任美国威尔逊国际学者中心亚洲项目研究员兼中国课题负责人（1999-2005），霍普金斯大学兼职教授（1999-2001），全美中国政治研究学会会长（1998-1999）。美国宾州州立大学政治学博士，厦门大学台湾研究硕士（全国首届）。研究兴趣包括比较政治、民主理论、中美关系和台湾问题。曾开设的中、英文或双语课程包括政治学导论、比较政府与政治、比较文官制度、英美政治制度、中国政治、民主和政治发展、台湾研究、当代中国马克思主义研究、专业英语等。
著有China’s Long Quest for Democracy（Palgrave, 2016）、《新时期美国涉台政策及其演变趋势》（九州出版社，2015）、《台湾地区政党政治研究》（中国社会科学出版社，2014）、《台湾政治转型与两岸关系的演变》（九州出版社，2010）和China after Jiang（Stanford University Press, 2003）、《向后邓小平时代转型》（Transition toward Post-Deng China, Singapore University Press, 2001）、《台湾海峡两岸的发展前景》(香港亚洲科学出版社，2000)和《台湾的政治转型》（香港社会科学出版社，1997）等。另有编著《两岸能源合作方案研究及机制设计》（第二编者，上海交通大学出版社，2015）和译著《欧洲自由主义的兴起》[哈罗德拉斯基]（第一译者，中国人民大学出版社，2012）等。论文《美国对解决台湾问题的政策取向》和著作《台湾地区政党政治研究》先后获得上海市哲学社会科学优秀成果一等奖（2010， 2016）。著作China’s Long Quest for Democracy入选2015年度中华学术外译项目。著作《台湾政治转型与两岸关系的演变》获得全国台湾研究优秀著作二等奖（2012）。主持完成国家哲学社会科学基金项目《台湾政党政治的发展趋势与对应研究》、教育部课题《美国对台政策的走向分析及对策研究》。获得2012年上海市育才奖和对台工作先进个人奖，2015年上海交通大学凯原“十佳”教师奖，2017年上海交通大学“科研成果奖”二等奖。2003年3月应邀列席第十届政协第一次全体会议。
在《当代中国》（Journal of Contemporary China）、《亚洲观察》（Asian Survey）、《问题与研究》（Issue & Studies）、《美国亚洲评论》（The American AsianReview）、《中国政治学刊》（Journal of Chinese Political Science 、《国际问题研究》、《美国研究》、《当代中国研究》、《台湾研究》、《台湾研究集刊》、《台海研究》、《上海交通大学学报》、《浙江社会科学》、《福建论坛》、《亚太经济》、《江苏行政学院学报》等SSCI、CSSCI或同级中英文学术刊物上发表过数十篇学术论文。应邀出席在美国、英国、德国、马来西亚、中国大陆和台湾等地举办的五十多场国际学术研讨会，包括美国政治科学协会（APSA）的四次年会，发表论文或专题演讲。接受美国联合通讯社（美联社）、《时代周刊》、英国路透社、俄罗斯国际通讯社、日本《朝日新闻》、《美国之音》、《华盛顿观察》、《世界新闻报》、《万维网》、中国新闻社、中国国际广播电台、《中国青年报》、《环球时报》、《中国社会科学报》、上海东方卫视、上海第一财经、深圳卫视、厦门卫视、《新民晚报》、台湾“中央社”、《联合报》、香港《中国评论》、《星岛日报》、《明报》等媒体的采访。
2005年回国以来发表SSCI论文4篇，CSSCI论文27篇（其中第二作者的3篇），中英文学术专著4部。主持完成国家社科基金项目和教育部人文社会科学研究项目各一项，外交部和国台办课题各一项，市台办课题六项。2008年10月创立上海交通大学台湾研究中心，2013年11月获得国务院台湾事务办公室授予“两岸关系上海交通大学研究基地”牌匾，属全国首例，实现了中心的跨越式发展目标。

Dr. Lin Gangis distinguished professor of political science (2012—) and chairman of academic committee (2015—) at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s School of International and Public Affairs, director of Center for Taiwan Studies, and member of the University’s Academic Committee (2008—). He is also a vice president of Shanghai Society for Taiwan Studies (2015—) and senior research associate of Collaborative Innovation Center for Peaceful Development of Across-Strait Relations (2013—). He served as Program Associate at the Woodrow Wilson Center (1999-2005) and President of the Association of Chinese Political Studies (1998-1999). He has authored China’s Long Quest for Democracy (Palgrave, March 2016), The U.S. Policy toward Taiwan and Its Evolution in the New Era (Jiuzhou Press, forthcoming in 2015), A Study on Party Politics in Taiwan (Chinese Social Sciences Press, 2014), Taiwan’s Political Transition and the Evolution of Cross-Strait Relations (Jiuzhou Press, 2010), co-edited China after Jiang (Woodrow Wilson Center Press & Stanford University Press, 2003), Transition toward Post-Deng China (Singapore University Press, 2001) and Prospects for Cross-Taiwan Strait Developments (Hong Kong: Asia Sciences Press, 2000), co-authored Taiwan’s Political Transition (Hong Kong: Social Sciences Press, 1997), and contributed numerous articles and book chapters. He has frequently participated in international conferences held in the United States, Mainland China and Taiwan.
He was a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance for his outstanding contributions in social sciences, Shanghai Municipality First Class Award of Distinguished Works in Philosophy and Social Sciences in 2010 and 2016, and Kaiyuan Award of Best-Ten Teachers in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015. He was invited by the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference to attend and observer its 10th annual meeting in Beijing, March 2003. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Pennsylvania State University (1997), MA in Taiwan studies from Xiamen University (1984), and BA in history from Fujian Normal University (1982).His research interests include comparative politics, Chinese politics, democratic theory, Sino-U.S. relations, and the Taiwan issue.
